WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (36-2, 22 KOs) will
now face WBO #11 rated Ruben Eduardo Acosta (23-3-5, 7 KOs) on Saturday
in Magdeburg, Germany. Acosta stepped in at late notice to replace
Edison Miranda, who had to pull out due to illness.

Boy Promotions plan to mediate their issues on Tuesday before retired
federal judge Daniel Weinstein in Santa Monica, California, in an
effort to save the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao mega-fight

Word
is the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps will try to settle their
differences on blood testing before a mediator on Tuesday in Santa
Monica. Retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein will try to get the two
sides to reach an accord on the issue that has prevented the March 13
Pacquiao-Mayweather super fight from being finalized. Weinstein has

Former
heavyweight titleholder Shannon Briggs, who launched a comeback last
month after 2½ years out of the ring, tested positive for a banned
substance following his first-round knockout of Marcus McGee.
The result of the Dec. 3 fight, which took place in New York City and
was televised on Versus, was changed to a no contest. Briggs was also
suspended for 90 days by the New York State Athletic Commission,
according to Ivaylo Gotzev, Briggs' manager.
